Holiday Rewind

It’s hard for me to believe that we just finished celebrating Peanut’s third Christmas.  It seems like just yesterday she was propped up by the tree…

And now she is so big and full of energy that I am lucky to catch her sitting still!

This is a rare photo of one of those moments – Peanut sitting for breakfast with Santa.  We had so much fun this year – family parties, cookie parties, and best of all quality time with those we love…

Fall

Hello – a quick update on all that has been going on in the Peanut household…

Household projects!

We had a night out – Hubby was my “catch” for Rachael & Brad’s annual Halloween Party (we won best costume!)

We spent time with the ice cream Sundae family!

Sept*fish*ber

September was quite a fishy month.  It all started with Hubby’s trip to Lake Ontario with his dad, bro, and dad’s friend…

And then there was Shark Bait’s 3rd birthday party (Finding Nemo style)

And the month ended with a trip up north, to the fishy coastline of Maine, to visit the UNCLE JAYMAN (you know, the marine biologist)

Reunited (and it feels so good)!

C’mon Irene

I’m very, very, overdue – but in case you were wondering – we survived hurricane Irene…

and discovering our broken tree swing =/ …

all in all we could have made out far worse.  Many of our north jersey friends have had major flooding in their homes and some homes have even been condemned.  We found out two days after the hurricane that our home had a gas leak from a faulty hot water heater installation (installed the day before the hurricane).  Readings above 25 are considered a leak and ours read 2000.  Thankfully we had decided to stay at my mom’s when our power went out the day after the hurricane or we would have been lighting candles in our house.  If there was ever a moment to believe in divine intervention – that was it.

 

 

Good-bye August

Summer is winding down, and although I have been blocking it from my brain – school starts up for me again next week.  We have certainly had an eventful and fun summer and here are some photos that capture the fun we’ve had…
