Dear Peanut,
It has become tradition for me to write you a letter on Mother’s Day. As with everything else on this blog these days, this is coming late. =) I seriously cannot believe that this is my third Mother’s Day. In some ways, I feel like it was just yesterday that you were born and I was crazily euphoric and terrified at the same time. In other ways, I feel like I have been a mother my whole life. I can barely remember what it felt like to not be a mother. All of the little mothering moments that fill up my day are so normal and routine and wonderful. I love being a mother. I love being your mother. This year you have become even more of your own little person and every day I am so excited by it – but I also feel a little sad because I wonder if with each milestone you may need me a little less. I try to remind myself that maybe you won’t need me less, just different. Maybe instead of tying shoes and helping you find the arm holes you will need me to listen to what’s wrong, need me to be there to cheer you on. And that I will. As any mother (or father knows) I will always see you as my little baby even when you are fifteen or fifty. May you always see me as your mommy. Until then, I will cherish all of the little moments – even the potty training, the tantrums, the boogers – and the days like today when you are under the weather and in need of mommy snuggles. I love you, Peanut.

Easter morning came and the bunny left some special goodies for Peanut…
and then it was time for church and then off to Grandma-Great and Grandpa-Great’s house to get ready for the Easter egg hunt!

After brunch it was time to go home and get ready for more family fun – we had Hubby’s and my mom’s side of the family over for dinner! We had another exceptionally beautiful day, so we spent a lot of time outside…

Ahhh, it’s been so long! I have to admit with all of the changes going on here at the Peanut household, I have not made much time for picking up my camera (or computer for that matter). The New Year brought me a new job, new day care arrangements, and NEW DOG!! The latter chewed the cord to our computer charger which made us computer-less until yesterday when the new one arrived. We have been busy, busy, with all of the changes around here and have been somewhat out of touch with internet-land.
I was completely stressed out by the new change of job – it was an opportunity to work closer, but I was giving up a GREAT job with awesome people so I had a lot to wrestle with. To top it off, I was working both jobs for the month of March which was quite the balancing act. I was (and kind of still am) physically sick from the stress of this work transition. Another big THANK YOU to our family and friends who are always there for us, and make time out of their busy schedules to help us out when we need it, or simply just spent time with us on the week-ends to help us remember what is really important!! I think this past month made Hubby and I realize how many truly great people we have in our lives who really care about us.
So…without further ado….Here is the 2012 Update!

It’s hard for me to believe that we just finished celebrating Peanut’s third Christmas. It seems like just yesterday she was propped up by the tree…
And now she is so big and full of energy that I am lucky to catch her sitting still!
This is a rare photo of one of those moments – Peanut sitting for breakfast with Santa. We had so much fun this year – family parties, cookie parties, and best of all quality time with those we love…
