I have to thank my best bud “Jayman” for getting me excited about cooking with fresh, locally grown (when possible) ingredients. Jayman loves food, loves to know how it was prepared, and where the ingredients came from. He gets pretty excited about it, and in turn, it has become somewhat of a passion for me as well. So you know I haven’t had a ton of time to cook for Becca and me, but that doesn’t mean Peanut isn’t getting the best of the best. I am on a quest to not give her baby food from a jar. To date, all she has eaten was made by Becca and me. The question to ponder is, if Becca and I don’t eat vegetables and fruit from a jar, why should I give it to my baby?
Becca is truly excited about her photography so I am trying to learn a little myself. I have to give it to her, trying to take a good picture isn’t always easy (I took about 50 to get the ones below). I haven’t edited any of these photos as I am trying to get my bearings with the camera first. I decided to take a few pictures of the fruits/veggies before I made amazingly tasty baby food for Peanut. Don’t believe me……..just ask Peanut……she’ll tell you!
And just to prove that I still whip up some pretty good stuff sometimes for Becca and me………….
