Monmouth County Parks

You’ve heard me say it before – I love living in Monmouth County, NJ.  There are tons of reasons why I love this county – not the least of which is the Monmouth County Park System.  Peanut, Hubby, and I have spent a lot of time lately exploring more of the parks and trails.  Such a relaxing and peaceful way to spend the day – best of all, it’s FREE!

Peanut in a tree at Deepcut Gardens in Middletown, NJ

And after we went to Deepcut Gardens we went to Tatum Park.  We decided to take a trail that was marked “foot traffic only” with our stroller…

I swear I heard the forest say to me – “Have fun getting around THAT!”

We made it though!  Hubby kept calling these huge obstacles (fallen trees, mud pits) “portages”

Maybe we should have heeded this warning sign?

A different day – another trail at Tatum Park – this time we made sure to pick a “multi-use” one…

Peanut loved it!

Thanks for looking!
