Photos and hurricanes

Ok so I couldn’t take it any more – I broke down and downloaded the photos from my camera onto a computer that isn’t mine.  Without money in the budget for a serious external hard drive, and knowing that I simply can’t put another photo on my computer or it will likely crash, Ifinally decided to go ahead and save them to another computer.  As crazy as it was importing photos from July through October, it was a nice reminder of all of the fun we have had and the memories that have been made.  With the impending hurricane, I couldn’t think of a better way to keep my mind occupied.  🙂  Come along and enjoy these memories with me…

Did someone say hurricane?  Ah, what a beautiful day at the jersey shore.

That’s all for now…I have about a million photos on my camera waiting to be uploaded.  I am in a bit of a bind as I have (no lie) 14,000 photos on my computer at the moment!  Until I find a way to better store/organize my photos I am afraid uploading any more might crash my computer haha.  Thanks for looking!

Summer Lovin’

This post is very photo heavy (and the month’s not even over)!  June started out with Peanut’s birthday celebration (another one on her actual birthday, the girl is loved I tell you!)…it was complete with birthday morning presents and special pancakes…

and of course some lake time

followed up with family & friends BBQ time

After all of Peanut’s birthday celebrating, it was time to celebrate a special friend, Miss. G’s birthday!

Swim time at Miss G’s house

The birthday girl herself!

Happy birthday Miss G!

Next it was time for father’s day…

Yes Hubby, you are as awesome as Kima thinks you are!  (she’s obsessed)

Party time at Grandma-Great & Grandpa-Great’s

Grandpa-Great – would you like more tea with your mint?

Smoochie kisses

Grandpa-Great surprised Hubby with his very own handmade walking stick – he has made each of us one now – and Hubby absolutely loves his!

I know this is blurry but look at that face – I still don’t know what a Dremel is or what it does – but I do know that it looks like my Dad made Hubby’s life haha

So nice of everyone to surprise Hubby with a little birthday cheer on father’s day!

Miss L. and Peanut checking out our shared garden plot over in Freedom Park in Medford!

YUM Snap Peas !

Oh my goodness this photo makes my heart happy

THREE

Peanut,

It can’t be possible.  How is it that you are already three years old?  You, my little Peanut, aren’t so little anymore.  My little Peanut is going to be a preschooler next year.  My little Peanut talks in complete sentences, can do somersaults, and is potty trained.  My little Peanut has quite the personality and can entertain just about anyone.  My little Peanut is a sometimes-sassy-sometimes-sweetie pie.  I love you, my little Peanut, from head to toe.  And even though you may not be quite as little anymore, in my heart you will always be my little baby.  (It’s a mommy/daddy thing).  Happy Birthday to you, my little Peanut!

Love,

Mommy

Enjoy some photos from Peanut’s ice cream party last week-end!

Thanks Aunt Rachael for making the awesome ice cream balloons!

“Happy birthday to yoooooou”

Thank you to all of our family & friends!  Peanut had a blast at her birthday party!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Dear Peanut,

It has become tradition for me to write you a letter on Mother’s Day.  As with everything else on this blog these days, this is coming late.  =)  I seriously cannot believe that this is my third Mother’s Day.  In some ways, I feel like it was just yesterday that you were born and I was crazily euphoric and terrified at the same time.  In other ways, I feel like I have been a mother my whole life.  I can barely remember what it felt like to not be a mother.  All of the little mothering moments that fill up my day are so normal and routine and wonderful.  I love being a mother.  I love being your mother.  This year you have become even more of your own little person and every day I am so excited by it – but I also feel a little sad because I wonder if with each milestone you may need me a little less.   I try to remind myself that maybe you won’t need me less, just different.  Maybe instead of tying shoes and helping you find the arm holes you will need me to listen to what’s wrong, need me to be there to cheer you on.  And that I will.  As any mother (or father knows) I will always see you as my little baby even when you are fifteen or fifty.  May you always see me as your mommy.  Until then, I will cherish all of the little moments – even the potty training, the tantrums, the boogers – and the days like today when you are under the weather and in need of mommy snuggles.  I love you, Peanut.

Love,

Your Mommy Forever
